Reedy Laurel Elementary is a new K–5 elementary school in Greenville, South Carolina, with a specialized environmental science program built around nature-inspired learning and a signature blue and green design identity. When Greenville County Schools needed a furniture partner for this project, FSIoffice was selected to provide a complete school furniture solution, including classroom furniture, science labs, collaborative learning spaces, cafeteria and media center furnishings, and staff environments throughout the new campus. FSIoffice competed against two other dealers and was selected for design quality, versatility, local support, and price.
Outfitting a new elementary school from the ground up requires a different approach than a typical furniture refresh. Every space on the Reedy Laurel campus — specialty science labs, related arts rooms, a professional development suite, a multi-purpose gym, and multiple grade-level workrooms — had distinct functional requirements, student age considerations (Pre-K through grade 5), and design parameters tied to the school’s environmental science identity.
Greenville County Schools needed a single partner who could manage the full scope, align every furniture selection to the school’s blue and green brand palette, deliver flexible and mobile solutions that support hands-on science education, and do it competitively.
HON Total Solution — Maximum Value, Cohesive Design
FSIoffice recommended a HON Total Solution strategy — specifying the majority of the facility through HON’s comprehensive education furniture line. This approach delivered maximum volume discounting across every product category, a cohesive aesthetic across all spaces with coordinated finishes and product families, and simplified project management through one primary manufacturer relationship.
From standard-height classroom chairs to counter-height lab stools, from flip-top nesting media center tables to wave-inspired cafeteria tops, HON’s product breadth meant FSIoffice could meet every space’s requirements without compromising on design consistency or pricing.

FSIoffice was selected over two competing dealers, with project vision, creativity, price, and versatility as the deciding factors. Reedy Laurel Elementary opened with a fully furnished campus — every room cohesively designed in the school’s blue and green palette, with flexible, mobile, durable furniture that supports the hands-on environmental science curriculum the school was built around.
Key outcomes:
Designer Kendall Walker developed the color selections and furniture specifications to extend Reedy Laurel’s environmental science identity into every room. Blues and greens — drawn directly from the school’s branding — were carried through upholstery, frame finishes, and accent pieces throughout the building. The cafeteria features wave-shaped table tops that echo the school’s water and nature motifs. The media center was designed with a children’s museum aesthetic, combining soft seating with mobile work tables. Every space reflects the school’s mission rather than defaulting to generic institutional furniture.
From environmental science labs and creative learning areas to dining, media and professional development spaces, FSIoffice developed furniture solutions to support very different activities while maintaining a cohesive design throughout the school.
