Humble Beginnings

FSIoffice began as a prayer in 1951. After accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, founder Jimmy Godwin asked God for two specific things: a Christian wife and a good job. In October, 1960 he married Diane Griffin, who shared his faith and ambitions then and continues to do so after over 61 years of marriage. After working in the office supply industry for five years, Jimmy ventured out on his own in 1962 and founded Forms & Supply, Inc. During the past 59 years, FSIoffice has served the Southeast and grown from a mom and pop operation to one of the largest independent office supply dealers in the United States with more than 250 employees.

Since the very start, FSIoffice has worked with our local neighbors in Charlotte, NC area, and the greater Southeast region. With service as our priority, FSIoffice went from a local mom and pop operation to a thriving company with over 250 employees and global reach.

Family Owned

After working in the office supply industry for five years, Jimmy ventured out on his own in 1962 and founded Forms & Supply, Inc. Since then FSIoffice has served the Southeast and grown from a mom and pop operation to one of the largest independent office supply dealers in the United States with more than 250 employees.

Forms & Supply, Inc. expands into SC with location in Columbia, SC

Kim Leazer, 2nd generation comes on board as Account Manager

Donna Jordan, 2nd generation, begins in Advertising Manager role

Expands into Virginia, with Chesapeake, VA branch.

1998

HQ moves to 100,000 sq ft+ facility on Orr Rd.
FSIoffice building in Wilmington NC

Wilmington, NC location opens

Beth Freeman, 3rd generation, joins FSIoffice full time

2015

Kim Leazer receives President’s Award from AOPD

Founder, Jimmy Godwin receives Lifetime Achievement Award from industry association BSA.

FSIoffice acquires Fain Enterprises, expanding its presence in Winston Salem, NC

2018

Kim Leazer is named CEO; Donna Jordan is named President, and Jay Godwin is named COO
NOAPA Award

2019

Executive Vice President, Beth Freeman receives North American Office Products Association Young Executive of the Year Award

2020

FSIoffice acquires Hoyle Office Solutions, expanding its reach into Western NC, with a location in Arden.

2022
