To our valued customers and friends,
So far, 2020 has been a year that has changed many things in all of our lives. Covid-19 has changed the way we work, live, interact socially and plan for the future. Everyone here at FSIoffice has had to find a new way to adapt in how we serve our customers, as I'm sure you have had to find new and unique ways to serve yours.
Although many things have changed in our world as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, one thing has remained the same. Our desire to recognize the extraordinary efforts that our teachers undertake to educate our children is as strong as ever, if not stronger.
One of the things we knew that needed to remain despite all the changes around us was our "Teacher of the Week" recognition. However, having to learn to live with Covid-19 has forced FSIoffice to make some adjustments to our traditional Teacher of the Week program. As a result, we have changed the way we will conduct the event this year and also the criteria for how we will choose a teacher to be recognized each week.
We know that many teachers in our community have gone above and beyond in their efforts to continue to help their students learn regardless of the venue and/or circumstances. So, this year we have decided to recognize teachers who have made an extraordinary effort to teach their students during the Covid-19 crisis. If you know of a teacher who has or is currently making an extra effort to educate, inspire and encourage their students, you can nominate them for our "Teacher Heroes of Covid-19" program so that they might be recognized as one of our 5 weekly winners who will then compete to be our Teacher Hero of the Year.
We will begin taking nominations on August 18, 2020 for 5 weeks. Each week we will choose the Top 6 Teacher Heroes for that particular week and people in your community will vote online to choose the Teacher Hero of the Week. Each weekly winner will win a prize of $1,000 in school supplies.
Once our 5 weekly winners have been chosen, we will then award the Teacher Hero of the Year from the weekly winners and reward them with a prize of an additional $1,000 in supplies for their class.
My family and I hope that each of you are safe, healthy and remain so until this crisis passes. We hope that by shining a light on what our teacher heroes do, it will inspire you all to help someone in need during this crisis.
